This Privacy Policy explains how Talona, Inc. ("Talona," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you visit our website or communicate with us. It also explains how this policy relates to camera data processed in customer deployments.
Introduction
Talona, Inc. is a Delaware corporation incorporated on August 21, 2026, under Delaware file number 10743414. Our registered office is 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, New Castle County, Delaware 19713, United States.
For the website and business communications described here, Talona determines why and how personal information is used and is the responsible controller where that term applies. This policy does not replace a customer’s own privacy notice or a data processing agreement covering a particular deployment.
Our public website provides product information, articles, and illustrative demonstrations. It does not provide visitor accounts, payment checkout, camera access, or a facility to upload customer footage. External websites linked from our pages have their own privacy practices.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. If you submit our demo request form, email us, or otherwise contact our team, we receive the information you choose to share. Our demo form asks for your name, work email, and company, with optional role, area of interest, and project details. Other correspondence may include a telephone number or additional information you provide. If a colleague introduces you, we may receive the same business contact details from that colleague.
Technical information. When your browser requests a page or file, our hosting infrastructure processes connection and request information. This can include your IP address, browser and device information, requested URLs, referring page, request time, response status, and diagnostic or security events. Our website is hosted on Vercel. Processing these requests is necessary to deliver and protect the site, even when no analytics cookies are used.
Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry. Do not send identity documents, sensitive personal information, or footage of other people unless we have first agreed an appropriate and secure way to handle it. You can browse without giving us your contact details; without relevant information, we may be unable to answer a particular request.
2. How information is used
We use contact details and correspondence to respond to questions, discuss a requested demonstration or potential deployment, and manage business relationships. Technical information helps us serve pages, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and maintain the website. We may also retain relevant information to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where European or UK data protection law applies, our legal bases depend on the activity. We rely on legitimate interests for ordinary business correspondence and operating and securing the website, after considering the effects on individuals. We rely on taking steps at your request before a contract, or performing a contract, where you are personally a party to it. Processing required by law relies on the relevant legal obligation. Where an optional activity requires consent, we request it separately and you may withdraw it.
We do not use information collected through this website to make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Reading this policy or using the website is not consent to an unrelated use of your information.
3. Camera and computer vision data
Talona develops computer vision software that turns camera footage into observations about physical spaces. Depending on the deployment, this can involve images, video frames, timestamps, object detections, movement paths, zone activity, and derived operational measurements. Footage and derived observations can be personal information when they relate to an identifiable person. Replacing a name with a tracking ID does not necessarily make information anonymous.
The interactive camera scenes on this website are illustrative demonstrations with authored annotations. They do not connect to your camera or track people visiting this website. They should not be read as evidence that a particular customer deployment is live.
Before processing footage for a customer, the parties must agree the scope of processing, access, retention, security, and any relevant data processing terms. Where Talona processes personal information on a customer’s instructions, the customer determines the purposes of that processing and is responsible for the required notices, permissions, and lawful basis. Talona’s role and obligations are governed by that agreement and applicable law. This website policy does not authorize unrestricted reuse of customer footage or its use to train general-purpose models.
If your question concerns cameras at a workplace, store, warehouse, or other customer location, contact the organization operating those cameras first. If you contact us, we will help identify the responsible organization where possible and assist it with requests as required by our agreement and the law.
5. Retention and security
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. For correspondence, relevant factors include whether an inquiry is active, whether we have an ongoing business relationship, and whether records are needed for a legal obligation or claim. For technical logs, relevant factors include security investigations, troubleshooting needs, and our hosting provider’s retention settings. Customer footage and deployment records have retention arrangements defined for the relevant service.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details, subject to lawful preservation requirements and ordinary backup cycles. Access to retained information should remain limited to the purpose for which it is kept.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact us promptly if you believe information sent to Talona has been exposed or misused.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may be entitled to access personal information, correct inaccurate details, request deletion, receive a portable copy, restrict certain processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also have rights concerning the sale of information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. These rights can be subject to exceptions, including legal recordkeeping requirements and the rights of other people.
To make a request, email hello@talona.ai with enough information for us to understand your relationship with Talona and the request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. We will respond within the period required by the applicable law and explain any refusal or permitted extension. We do not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
You may withdraw consent for processing that depends on it, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You can ask us to stop promotional communications at any time by replying to the message or contacting us. Necessary correspondence about an active request or contractual relationship may continue.
If you disagree with our response, reply with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line or write to hello@talona.ai and explain your concern. We will review it and provide the outcome and any further appeal information required by law. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority or state attorney general. For processing covered by European or UK law, this includes your local supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner.
8. Children’s information
Our website is intended for adult business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate. The presence of children in a customer’s camera environment must be addressed in that customer’s deployment assessment, notices, and applicable processing terms.
9. Policy updates
We may update this policy as our website, business, or legal obligations change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required and obtain consent if the law requires it. A revised policy does not by itself authorize a new use of information collected under an earlier policy.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact Talona, Inc. at hello@talona.ai. Email is the primary contact for privacy matters.
